7. Connection
The surveillance camera has a connection cable with two plugs at the end.
The video signal is available via the BNC connector, e.g. to record it on a DVR (digital video recorder). Use a matching
adapter if you cannot use a BNC video cable.
The camera is connected to the external voltage supply via the round socket (direct voltage, 12 V/DC). A matching
round plug is required for connection, outer diameter 5.5 mm, inner diameter 2.1 mm. The outer contact of the round
plug must conduct minus/-, the inner contact plus/+.
Incorrect connection or wrong voltages will damage the camera; loss of warranty/guarantee!
If the camera is installed and operated outdoors, the two plug connectors must only be placed in a location
protected from moisture. Observe chapter 6. If this is not observed, there will be corrosion of the plug con-
nectors!
Configure your DVR and the connected screen so that the picture from the surveillance camera is displayed.
Important!
At commissioning, you need to first select the desired operating mode at the surveillance camera, see
chapter 8.
Otherwise, no picture will be shown or you will only see interferences.
After selecting the operating mode and seeing the proper display on your screen, you can align the surveillance camera
correctly so that the desired picture section can be monitored and recorded on your DVR.
The IR LEDs of the surveillance camera are switched on automatically in the dark. The IR light is, however, not visible
to the human eye. Observe that the image is displayed in black and white instead of colour on a collected screen at
night.
