INTENDED USE

Measurements in the range of overvoltage categories III (1000 V) and IV (600 V)
Measurement of DC voltage to max. 1000 VDC
Measurement of AC voltage to max. 750 VAC / AC+DC True RMS
Measurement of direct and alternating currents from 0 A to 10 A (AC / AC+DC True RMS)
Measurement of capacitance to 40 mF
Measurement of frequencies to 400 MHz
Display of duty cycle in %
Measurement of resistances to 40 M½
Continuity test (< 50 ½ acoustic) and diode test
Measurement of temperatures from -40°C to 1000°C (using type K thermocouple probe)
DC loop current measurement in range 4–20 mA with % display
Power measurement (VC940) via supplied jack adapter to 2500 W with display of power factor cos
and apparent power (VA)
Data memory for 10 values (VC920 and VC940) and data logger for 10,000 values (VC960)
Data transmission via optical interface
The measuring instrument must not be operated when it is open, with an open battery compartment, or
when the battery compartment cover is missing. Measurements should not be performed in damp rooms,
outdoors, or under adverse environmental conditions!
Adverse conditions are:
Wetness or high air humidity
Dust and fl ammable gases, vapors, or solvents
Thunderstorms or similar conditions such as strong electrostatic fi elds, etc.
Any use other than that described above will damage the product and may involve other risks such as
short circuit, fi re, or electric shock. Do not change or modify any part of the product. Always follow the
safety instructions.
This product fulfi ls European and national requirements related to electromagnetic compatibility
(EMC). CE conformity has been verifi ed and the relevant statements and documents have been
deposited at the manufacturer.
Unauthorised conversion and/or modifi cation of the device are inadmissible because of safety and
approval reasons (CE). Any usage other than described above is not permitted and can damage the
product and lead to associated risks such as short-circuit, fi re, electric shock, etc. Please read the
operating instructions thoroughly and keep them for further reference.

Tolérances des mesures
Indication de la précision en ± (pourcentage de lecture (= reading = rdg) + champ d'affi chage en chiffres/
