ATTENTION:
The guide track anti-chip strips must be trimmed
before aligning the track. See the Plunge Saw + Guide Track instructions.
(1) Insert tall Versa-Stops into the two
track-alignment holes in the bench top.
(2) Lift the guide track as you shift it toward
the outfeed end to fully close the hinges.
(3) Loosen both mounting-plate star-knobs
and lower the track. Tighten the knobs.
(4) Loosen the mounting-plate T-knobs and
push the plates toward the edge of the
table until the track anti-chip strip touches
both Versa-Stops. Tighten the mounting-
plate T-knobs.
(5) Remove the Versa-Stops.
WARNING:
Use the track-alignment Versa-Stop holes only when
aligning the track. Do not place Versa-Stops in the track-alignment holes
for any cutting operation.
ATTENTION:
Once the guide track is aligned, do not remove the
hinge-mounting plates from the table. To use the table without the track,
remove the track and hinges together to eliminate track realignment. To
use the track and saw independently of the table, remove the hinges from
the track. Anytime you remove the hinge-mounting plate from the table or
the hinges from the track, you must realign the track.
(1) Adjust the guide-track height for ¾"-thick
material. (See Adjusting the guide
track for workpiece thickness in the
USING THE PROJECT TABLE section.)
(2) Position a ¾" plywood scrap under the
guide track so the plywood supports
the entire track length and width.
(3) Set the saw cutting depth to 1", position the
saw on the track, and cut a ¼"-deep saw
kerf into the table along the entire length.
WARNING:
Refer to the Plunge Saw manual for proper saw operation.
