Damage to the cylinder caused by changing the medium!
Once oiled compressed air has been used in the system, the choice of this medium cannot be
reversed without damaging the cylinder.
Never change from oiled to oil-free compressed air.

Dust deposits interfere with the cooling of the cylinder and must
therefore be regularly removed. With a protected installation, you
can avoid interruptions in the system's operation, as fewer
cleanings are required.
7.2.3 Cylinder installation conditions
NOTICE
The valve is operated using compressed air as its pressure
medium.
The preferred medium is oil-free compressed air.
– The permissible particle size for the compressed air is
50 μm.
– The oil content of the compressed air may be 0 – 5 mg/m
and must remain constant over the entire service life.
Only use oils approved by AVENTICS for oiled compressed air
(see the section "Technical Information" in the online catalog).
Verify that the pressure dew point is at least 15°C below the
ambient and medium temperatures and does not exceed 3°C.
Any mounting orientation may be used with the cylinder.
7.3
Required accessories
Depending on the chosen configuration and the application,
additional components are required to integrate the cylinder into
the system and the system's control.
Accessory parts for use in explosive areas must comply with the
applicable requirements stipulated in the European directives and
national laws.
See Table 1 on page 46.
