11. Troubleshooting

The following table describes checks and actions that can be performed if the product does not operate correctly. If
these do not identify/solve the problem, contact a service agent or retailer.
Problem
The product does not operate.
Dry saw chain or automatic
lubrication feature is not working.
The saw chain is overheating.
Chain saw rips, vibrates,
does not saw properly.
Possible cause
• The extension cord is not
connected to the mains supply.
• The extension cord is broken.
• The front hand guard (3) is in
kickback brake position.
• The oil reservoir is empty or the
oil amount is below the minimum
oil level.
• Lubrication oil outlet (22) is
clogged.
• The saw chain is not lubricated.
• The saw chain is dull.
• The saw chain is over-tensioned.
• The saw chain is dull.
• The saw chain is worn out.
• The saw chain is too loose.
• The saw chain teeth are facing in
the wrong direction.
• The guide bar has an uneven
wear.
Possible solution
• Connect the extension cord to
the mains supply.
• Check the extension cord with
another product or change the
extension cord.
• Pull the front hand guard
backward to deactivate the
kickback brake.
• Fill in oil into the oil reservoir.
• Dismount the guide bar
and clean the lubrication oil
outlet (22).
• Ú Problem: Dry saw chain.
• Sharpen the saw chain.
• Loosen the saw chain tension.
• Sharpen the saw chain.
• Replace the saw chain.
• Increase the saw chain tension.
• Change the saw chain teeth
direction.
• Replace the guide bar and the
saw chain.
