Oil filling

1. Place the product on a flat and stable surface.
2. Remove the oil cap (5) by turning it in a counter-clockwise direction.
3. Fill saw chain oil (not provided) into the oil inlet.
4. Replace the oil cap by turning it in a clockwise direction.
It is essential for a safe operation to maintain a firm grip on both handles. Always wipe out any oil spills from
the housing and handles.
Check the oil level periodically through the oil reservoir window (13). A filled oil reservoir (150 ml) allows a
working time of 20-30 minutes.
Checking the automatic lubrication feature
1. Switch on the product.
2. Point the tip of the guide bar to a sheet of paper lying on the ground. Ensure safety clearance of 25 cm from the
ground.
- If a patch of oil appears and becomes larger, then the automatic lubrication function is working.
- If there are no traces of oil even though the oil reservoir is full, then the automatic lubrication function is not
working (Ú Troubleshooting).

8. Safety mechanism/front hand guard

The front hand guard (3) is a safety mechanism that stops the saw chain immediately when it is pushed towards the
operator in case of a kickback (Ú Kickback).
