b) Tensioning the saw chain
Check the saw chain tension regularly during the operation (in 10 minute intervals).
Do not tension the saw chain when it is hot. A hot saw chain expands and might get over-tensioned when
it cools down.
The correct tension of the saw chain is achieved when it can be pulled in the middle of the guide bar by approximately
3-4 mm (Ú Fig. 6).
- If the saw chain is too tight, slightly loosen the chain tensioning knob in a counter-clockwise direction. This moves
the guide bar inwards of the chain saw.
- If the saw chain is too loose, slightly tighten the chain tensioning knob a little in a clockwise direction. This moves
the guide bar outwards of the chain saw.

c) Lubricating
The product is shipped without oil. Never operate the product without oil or with an oil level below the
minimum oil level indicator (12).
For lubrication use only a special saw chain oil (not provided).
When filling oil, we recommend using an underlay to protect the working area from oil spills.
When filling oil, take steps to prevent dirt/contamination from entering the oil reservoir.
