18. Do not use the rollclamp anchor point if the drop
height is insufficient in the event of a worker fall or
if there is any obstacle along the fall trajectory (fig.
4).
19. Do not use the rollclamp anchor point if the securing
strap is damaged or if the unit shows any signs of
abnormal deformation or wear.
20. Secure yourself to the rollclamp anchor point by any
other means than the securing strap or at any other

21. Do not perform any repairs on the rollclamp
anchor system unless you have been trained and
recognised as qualified in writing by Tractel

not in good physical condition.

this manual:
• is compliant with the requirements of European
Directive 89/686/CEE dated December 1989,
• is identical to the PPE covered by the CE type
examination issued by Apave SUDEUROPE, B.P.193,
13322 Marseille cedex 16 (No. 0082), and has been
tested in accordance with the requirements of
standards EN 795-B: 1996 + A1: 2000,
• is subject to the procedure defined by Article 11B of
Directive 89/686/CEE, under the control of the notified
organisation: Apave SUDEUROPE, B.P.193, 13322
Marseille cedex 16 (No. 0082).

14. Transport and storage

The rollclamp anchor system covered by this manual
must be stored and transported in its original package.
When stored or transported, the anchor system must
be:
1. Preserved in a dry atmosphere.
2. Preserved at a temperature of between – 35°C and +
50°C.
3. Protected against chemical, mechanical and all other
attacks.

15. Scrapping and protection
The rollclamp anchor system must only be scrapped in
compliance with the applicable legislation of the country
in which it is used.
The anchor system must be processed as follows:
• The mobile and fixed jaws and the guide rod must be
treated as aluminium-type metal waste.
• The guide shoes and the guide rings must be treated
as plastic-type waste.
• The securing strap must be treated as textile-type
waste.

The label (Fig. 7) on the central structure of the
rollclamp sys tem indicates:
a: the "Tractel
b: the product designation,
c: the reference standard followed by the year of
application,
d: the product reference,
e: the CE logo followed by the number of the notified
organisation, article 11 B, production control 0082,
f: the batch number,
g: the serial number, ex: 12xxxxx device manufactured
in 2012,
h: a pictogram indicating that you must read the manual
before using the system,
p: maximum number of operators.
