Commissioning
1. Pressurize your system.
2. Screw in the opened adjustment screw of the pressure sequence valve (e.g. VD-3-PK-3) until the
switching pressure is at least 4 bar. An inspection can be conducted, for example, using a pressure
gauge.
3. Implement a functional test (
chapter 6.1).

The time delay between step 7 and 8 is dependent on the supply pressure and ranges

Operation
Checking the functional reliability:
• Implement a functional test of the product every month (
• Keep a record of the functional tests in your documents.
If the media temperature is below +1 °C:
• Use suitable compressed air (
chapter 12.2). Doing this will prevent the condensed water from
freezing.

Disassembly and repair
• Exhaust the complete system and the product.
Warning
Danger from impact. Pressurised hoses can move uncontrollably when disassembling
the product and cause serious injury.
• Exhaust the complete system and the product prior to disassembly.
• Disassemble the product from the system.
• The product should only be repaired by Festo. Send the product to Festo's repair service
(
www.festo.com).

Maintenance and care
Maintenance
• Check the function of the product every month (
• Replace the product after 1,000,000 switching cycles (
Cleaning:
1. Exhaust the complete system and the product.
2. Disassemble the product from the system as described in chapter 8.
3. Unscrew the filter element 5. Do not lose the seals when doing this.
4. Only clean the components of the product by using cleaning agents in accordance with Tab. 2:
5. Re-tighten the screw with filter element 5 (max. tightening torque 4 Nm).
