6.1 General

The instructions described here are to be understood as
minimum recommendations. Depending on operating condi-
tions, they may need to be broadened in order to maintain the
machine's working quality.
Servicing and maintenance work in specific disciplines
(pneumatics etc.) must only be carried out by skilled persons
trained in that particular discipline.
Observe the following safety advice!
Warning
Warning!
You could get crushed by moving parts if the
machine is not shut down.
The machine must be depressurised and
disconnected from the power supply before
carrying out maintenance and cleaning work!
Note
Improper repair will damage the machine!
Improper disassembly and assembly may result in
property damage or consequential damage to the
machine.
i
Therefore, when carrying out any removal or
dismantling activity, always:
· mark which parts belong together
· mark and note down the place where parts
are fitted
· remove and keep assemblies separately from
each other
After carrying out maintenance work, always:
· check all screw connections to make sure
they are tight, Close and screw down all
covers.

6.2 Starting up for the first time

Before starting up the machine for the first time, observe
the following:
Note
The machine must only be put into operation for
i
the first time by a person instructed / authorised
to do so by the manufacturer / distributor or un-
der the manufacturer's / distributor's supervision.
· Check to make sure the machine has been installed in ac-
cordance with the regulations specified!
· Make sure the machine stands firmly!
· Check to make sure that no foreign objects (tools, construc-
tion material etc.) have been left in the area of the machine
from the assembly process.
· Adjust the machine's working height in accordance with
ergonomic guidelines.
· Check the hoses as well as the pneumatic system's hose
connections.
· Make sure that moving components can move without
obstruction into the spaces they require and that the safety
distances are observed.

6.2.1 Checking for proper working order without material

The machine must only be put into operation by trained and
qualified personnel.
Before putting in to operation with material, the machine
must be allowed to run empty to let the machine's parts run
in under low load. During this period, the moving parts in
particular should be checked for excessive heat buildup and
noise. An excessive buildup of heat is an indication of incor-
rect alignment or use of the wrong lubricants - this must be
rectified.

6.2.2 Checking for proper working order with material

Once the machine has been checked and run in without
material, it is put into operation with components under
operating conditions.
Note
i
As you did on starting up without material, listen
for unusual noises and check to see if there is
any heat buildup.

7. Operation

7.1 Operating mode

One possible operating mode is available for operating the
machine:
· Manual operating mode
(Automatic drawer assembly on actuating the two hand
switch system)
Note
From the aspect of organisation, it is always
i
necessary to define which persons are authorised
to put the machine into operation and operate it.

7.2 Getting the machine ready

To put the machine into operation, it is imperative to observe
the following activation sequence:
· No safeguards in place from servicing work.
· Lubricate the guides if necessary.
· Check for leakages in the pneumatic system

7.3 Starting the machine

Make sure that the safety guards on the machine are set to
provide protection.
Starting the machine involves the following procedure:
· Provide a supply of pneumatic energy.
· Place the individual parts into the assembly jig.

7.4 Sequence of actions

Setting drawer width
· Release clamping lever.
· Pull up latch bolt, move to required dimension
and let it snap into place.
· Tighten clamping lever.
