3.3.3 Setting the Operation Time

Switch-over to "timer" mode with either key [
] if the CERTOMAT ® S-II is in the "frequency"
[
mode.

Enter the operation time in [Hrs:Min] via the numeric
key pad. The timer setpoint range is 00:01 ... 98:59
[Hrs:Min] for a given operation time or 99:00 for
continuous operation. Press the [ENTER] – key to
confirm the setpoint. You may confirm just after
entering [Min].

Wrong inputs can be easily corrected. Press deletion
key [ C ] to change the actual entry. The cursor starts
with the first (left hand) digit of the display, ready for a
new entry of [Min]. Confirm a new entry with
[ENTER] - key. Note: The shaker remains inactive at an
input of 00:00 [Hrs:Min]. Wrong inputs will be ignored,
such as 00:70 [Hrs:Min], for instance..

The shaker will start operation when the [START] - key
is pressed. For changing an active setpoint, press the
[STOP] - key, enter the new setpoint, confirm with the
[ENTER] – key and restart with the [START] - key.

Connection of External Devices

The CERTOMAT ® S-II has a 9-pol sub-D socket for signal
] or
output to external devices, such as a recorder. This can
be used for recording of the stirring speeds applied
during a process, for instance.
Depending on its setting the output delivers the
following signals:
