5 | Safety
5.1 | Intended use
This charger is exclusively intended for charging 12 V li-ion
motorcycle batteries. The recommended battery capacity is 1.2 Ah
to 10 Ah. It is not suitable for charging non-rechargeable batteries
(e.g. zinc-carbon, alkali etc.) or other types of rechargeable battery
(e.g. NiMh) not indicated above. The charger must only be operated
with common domestic AC voltages of 220 - 240 V/AC (50/60 Hz).
For reasons of both safety and official approval (CE), the product
must not be converted and/or modified.
Do not use the ProCharger 1.000 Lithium charger for other battery
technologies.Use it only as is described in these instructions. Any
other use is considered improper use and may result in material
damage. The manufacturer or supplier accepts no liability for
damage caused by improper or incorrect use.
5.2 | Warnings
Please read these instructions through carefully, as they contain
important information on how to operate and use this charger. The
instructions are an integral part of the device and must therefore
be kept safe. The charger must only be passed on to third parties
together with the instructions.
In order to avoid malfunctions, damage or health hazards, please
adhere to the following safety Instructions. If the safety Instructions
and the information on proper use in these instructions are
deliberately ignored or overlooked, there is a risk of hazards, e.g.
short circuit, fire, explosion or electric shock. In such cases, the
manufacturer Detlev Louis Motorrad-Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH
(Switzerland: Detlev Louis AG) assumes no liability for any resulting
personal injury/material damage. The warranty/guarantee will also
be rendered null and void. If you are not certain about the right
way to connect or operate the device, or if any other questions
arise that are not covered in these instructions, please contact our
technical customer service department (page: 53).
