POWER CORD SAFETY
1.
This tool is equipped with a three-prong grounded power supply cord and
plug. Check with a qualified electrician if you are in doubt as to whether
the outlet is properly grounded. If the tool should electronically
malfunction or break down, grounding provides a low resistance path to
carry electricity away from the user.
a.
Never remove the grounding prong or modify the plug in any way, as
this will render the tool unsafe.
b.
Do not use any adapter plugs.
c.
Check with a qualified electrician or service personnel if the
grounding instructions are not completely understood, or if in doubt
as to whether the tool is properly grounded
d.
If the tool should electronically malfunction or break down,
grounding provides a low resistance path to carry electricity away
from the user.
e.
Do not modify the plug provided. If it will not fit the outlet, have the
proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician.
f.
Improper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor can
result in a risk of electric shock. The conductor with insulation having
an outer surface that is green with or without yellow stripes is the
equipment-grounding conductor. If repair or replacement of the
electric cord or plug is necessary, do not connect the equipment
grounding conductor to a live terminal.
2.
Insert the power cord plug directly to the power supply whenever
possible. Use extension cords or surge protectors only when the tool's
power cord cannot reach a power supply from the work area.
a.
Use in conjunction with a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI). It is
recommended that the GFCI should have a rated residual current of
30 mA or less.
3.
Do not operate this tool if the power cord is frayed, damaged or poorly spliced,
as an electric shock may occur, resulting in personal injury or property damage.
Have the power cord replace by a qualified service technician.
