16. Once the 45º angle is set. Tighten the 45º angle stops until they touch the
back of the fence support assembly.
17.
Check several more times to make sure the set angle doesn't shift.
18. Raise the fence upright and lock into place.
INSTALLING THE DUST CHUTE
The jointer includes a filter bag to collect the chips and dust. You may wish to hook
up the jointer to a dust collection system. Makes sure your system can handle
chips. You will also need to create your own adaptor as one is not included.
1.
Slide dust chute (U11) onto end of
chip exhaust (Fig. 7).
2.
Rotate the elbow so it points in
the direction where the filter bag
(U12) will be set up.
3.
Tighten the pan head screw to
secure it.
4.
Open the zipper located on the
bottom of the filter bag (U10).
5.
Insert the narrow end of the spring into
the filter bag' s sleeve. The spring will keep
the sleeve open.
6.
Slide the sleeve over the end of the chip
dust chute until it' s snug (Fig 8).
7.
Stretch out the bag to remove any folds
that could prevent the bag from fully
expanding during operation.
MOUNT THE JOINTER ON A WOOD
WORKBENCH
The hardware to mount the tool is not
included.
1.
Clean the work area where the tool will be mounted.
2.
Position the jointer. Check that it is level and there are no obstructions
around it that will interfere with a long workpiece.
a. Also check along the infeed table direction to make sure there is
nothing that could be struck by an ejected workpiece.
