@ MEMO/CHECK Button
Press to store tune numbers set using the
PGM
button.
After
storing, pressing the
MEMO/CHECK
button
lets you
check
stored tune numbers. Each time it is pressed,
the tune numbers are displayed in the order
in which they are stored; keeping the button
pressed,
the display
shows
all the tune
numbers in sequence.
@ INTRO CHECK Button
When
this is pressed, the deck plays the
first 15 seconds (approx.) of each tune and
fast-winds the tape between these sections.
Auto-reverse functions by means of the
newly developed Super A.R.H.S. (Ac-
culign Rotating Head System)
and a
special |.R. (infrared) Combination Tape
Sensor. This head rotating system allows
the record/playback head to turn the
head at the moment
the direction of
tape movement is reversed to the reverse
play or record
mode.
Therefore,
one
doesn't have to be concerned about level
difference between sides A and B, except
the effect caused by the tape, etc. The
I.R. Combination
Tape Sensor sends a
signal when detecting the leader tape
portions during the play or record mode
to the tape transport control. This signal
activates this control so that the tape
will
immediately
be
changed
to the
reverse or forward mode. In the case of a
Auto-Reverse Mechanism
tape without a leader tape portion, the
direction of the tape will automatically
be reversed when the tape reaches the
end.
Notes:
eThe
auto-reverse
function
cannot be
activated during the first 15 seconds of
a tape run, even when leader tape is
detected.
eDuring
a programmed
music search,
leader tape can not cause the tape run
to switch to the reverse mode.
elf the tape is flawed or the head unit is
exposed to strong light, the tape direc-
tion may be reversed before the end
of the tape even when the AUTO
REVERSE switch is set in the'——' or
'cD' position.
