Tape Editing Dubbing (Normal Speed
pabbing)
. During dubbing, press the STOP button
or PAUSE button on deck |.
Deck II automatically enters the record-
pause
mode
after
leaving
4 seconds
blank. And at this time, the "NORM"
indicator blinks in the display window.
2. Select the required tune on deck | as
follows:
a) Selection using CPS function:
First press the PGM button to designate
teh desired tune numbers and press teh
4 or >> button. (See page 8.)
Selection using CDS function:
During fast-forwarding or rewinding by

After selecting the required tune, stop
the tape at the beginning of the tape.
(The "NORM" indicator in the display
will go off.)
Dubbing of the selected tune starts.
Repeat procedures 1 to 3 each time to dub a

has been
dubbed.

Synchro Reverse Dubbing
The SYNC
REVERSE
button is previded
for reversing both decks at the same time
during dubbing. This is convenient when
tapes of different lengths are loaded into
decks | and Il.
1. To use this function, you must make
the following setting in advance.
¢ Counter display: Tape counter mode
REVERSE
MODE button:

tinuous) or ——(reverse)

of deck | and II: >
(forward) blinks
2. Press the SYNC REVERSE button (the
SYNC REVERSE indicator will light).
3. Press the desired DUB START (NORM
or HIGH) button to start dubbing.
4. Decks | and II run as illustrated in the
chart "SYNC REVERSE Dubbing Opera-
tion".
RANDOM PROGRAM DUBBING
i Dub Only Required Tunes
. Perform
steps 1 to 9 of the "Normal
Dubbing" procedure on page 9.
2. The procedure is different depending on
whether the numbers of the tunes to be
dubbed
from
the
pre-recorded
tape
(deck |) are known or not.
If they are known beforehand:
Program
the numbers
of the required
tunes using the PGM button and MEMO/
CHECK
button. For details, see the sec-
tion "PGM facility" on page 7.
Note;
¢ During program dubbing, control buttons
other than STOP and RESET will be
disabled.
e If they are not known beforehand:
Press the INTRO CHECK button to check
the start of each tune; then, when you
hear a tune you want to dub, press the
MEMO/CHECK
button. (For details, see
page 7.)
Repeat
this for other tunes you want
to dub. After the tape reaches the end of
the reverse side (or the deck |'s STOP
button is pressed), the INTRO CHECK
function will be released (if the AUTO
REVERSE switch was set to the
—— posi-
tion). After this, press the PAUSE button
and then the » button so that the > in-
dicator lights.
* Programming
by
this
method
and
dubbing the required tunes to deck II
is called ICMD
(Intro Check Memory
Dubbing).
3. Press the DUB START NORM or HIGH
button. Only programmed tunes on the
deck
| tape are recorded
in the pro-
grammed
sequence
by deck
II. While
deck | is fast-forwarding to search for
programmed
tunes, deck II enters the
record-pause mode waiting for the next
tune.
To Reverse the Tape at the Desired
Point During Dubbing
When dubbing from deck | to deck II, the
point at which the recording deck should
reverse
can
also be programmed
by in-
putting a "dr" code while programming the
tunes to be dubbed or checking the pro-
grammed contents. Tunes after the 'dr'
code will be recorded on side B of the tape
loaded in deck II.
¢To program "dr" code while programming
tunes:
1. After the tunes on side A have been
programmed using the PGM and MEMO/
CHECK buttons.
