3. Once the necessary weights have been determined,
the density of the sample is displayed in g/cm
(along with the weight in air, weight in water) on the
application screen.
4. Press BEGIN DENSITY DETERMINATION to reset all the
weight values and restart the process.
MEASURING THE DENSITY OF A BUOYANT
MATERIAL USING WATER
1.
Press the SETUP icon to open settings screen.
2. Confirm the following setups are selected:
• Density type: Solid
• Liquid type: Water
• Porous material: OFF
3. Press DONE to return to the density determination
home screen.
4. Follow the same procedure as solid material, except
in step 2, push the sample down into the liquid until
it is fully submerged.
MEASURING THE DENSITY OF A SOLID USING AN
AUXILIARY LIQUID
1. To enable this feature, enter the density setup menu
and select the following:
• Density type: Solid
• Liquid type: Other
• Porous material: OFF
2. Confirm the default values displayed (liquid density,
etc.) are correct.
3. To edit the default values, touch EDIT SETTINGS and
the application settings screen appears.
• Settings available: Liquid density
• Functions available: Return to application
4. To adjust the liquid density value, touch the LIQUID
DENSITY button.
5. Measure the actual liquid density of the density
setup and enter it.
6. A numeric input window appears. Key in the density
in g/cm
, then press √.

7. The display returns to the previous screen with the
new value highlighted. To return to the density
determination home screen, touch RETURN TO
APPLICATION.
