SETTING THE WELDING CURRENT
The preferred welding current can be set
using the switch (4) on the front of the welder.
On the top setting the welding current is set
at 90 A and the working time at 10%. On the
bottom setting the welding current is set at 45
A and the working time at 60%.
The optimum welding current depends on
the diameter of the welding wire, the strength
of the material being welded & the weld
penetration required.
SETTING THE WIRE FEED CONTROL
To reach stable welding condition, the speed
can be fine-tuned using the wire feed
adjustment knob (2). It is recommened that
you begin the adjustment in the middle and
adjust the speed slowly up or down.
The optimum welding current depends on
the diameter of the welding wire, the strength
of the material being welded, the weld
penetration required and the distance to the
workpiece.
THERMAL OVERLOAD PROTECTION
The welder is equipped with a self-resetting thermal overload protection device which prevents
the device overheating. The overload protection device cuts the mains supply to the transformer
and the yellow lamp lights on the front of the machine.
Allow the machine to cool for approximately 30 minutes. When the yellow light goes out the
machine can be used again.
