• Always check the machine for damage before starting work. Check the appliance
for signs of damage. Do not use a damaged machine under any circumstances.
• Do not use sharp objects.Never insert sharp or metal objects into the welder.
• Only use the welder for its intended purpose. The welder must only be used in ac-
cordance with these opertaing instructions.
• Inspect the machine regularly. Certain parts of the machine will wear during use. For
this reason the welder should be regularly checked for signs of damage and wear.
• Using the mains cable.Never pull out the plug using the cable and do not expose it to
oil, objects with sharp edges or high temperatures.
The welder is fitted with a special mains cable, which may not be damaged. When wor-
king, take care not to touch the mains cable with the hot parts of the welder. Damaged
mains cables may only be replaced with genuine replacement parts available from the
manufacturer. Mains cables may only be replaced by the manufacturer, an authorised
service centre or a qualified person.
• Only use original accessories and spare parts. For your own safety, only use ac-
cessories or additional equipment that have been recommended by the manufacturer.
• Repairs may only be carried out by a qualified person.
• Ensure the welder is well maintained.
• The welder should not be placed by a wall or in a confined space during use, so
that there is always adequate ventilation.
• Always ensure the welder is well ventilated.
• Ensure that the appliance is connected to the mains.
• Avoid placing any tension on the mains cable.
• Always plug out the machine before moving it elsewhere.
• Ensure that the welding cable, the welding nozzle and the ground clamp are in
good condition. Wear on the insulated or conductive parts of the machine can be dan-
gerous and effect performance of the machine.
• Arc welding produces sparks, drops of molten metal and smoke.Always ensure
the work area is clear of inflammable substances and materials before using the ma-
chine.
• Do not weld containers, vessels or pipes that may contains inflammable liquids or
gases.
• Avoid any direct contact with the welding current circuit; the open circuit voltage
between the contact tip and the ground clamp can be dangerous.
• Do not use or store the machine in damp or wet conditions.
• Protect your eyes using approved protective glass (DIN EN 166, DIN EN 169 /
protection level 9 - 11), which should be attached to the face shield included.
• Always use protective gloves and dry protective clothing to protect the skin from
harmful ultraviolet rays produced by the arc welder.
