[6] High-speed Edit
In Edit mode, not Play mode, the effect parameter that is selected by the cursor can be adjusted
at high speed by а MIDI Controller from an external MIDI device. You may find this quicker
than using the [ V | or [ A ] buttons.

€ Set Up and Operation Procedure
1. Connect the MIDI output of the device that is sending the MIDI Controller to the FX550's
MIDI IN connector.
2. Press the [UTILITY] button to show the MIDI SETUP display shown below.
3. Press the [ W ] ог [ A ] button to select MIDI bank (A, B, C, or D).
4. Press the [<q ] or [ > ] button to position the cursor, and set the MIDI channel parameter
using the [ W] or [ A ] button. Set the MIDI channel parameter so that it matches the transmit
MIDI channel of the device that is sending the Volume MIDI Controller. If "OMNI" is
selected, MIDI Controllers on any MIDI channel can be received.
5. Press the [UTILITY] button to show the CONTROLLER 1*display.
6. Press the [
] or [ À ] button to select the MIDI controller number of the controller to be
used. (See page 35.)
7. Press the [PLAY] button to return to Play mode, then press the [ W ] or [ À ] button to select
the program to be controlled.
8. Press the [EDIT] button to show the CTRL1*display.

9. Press the [ У ] or [ А ] button to show the *CURSOR" display.

10. Press the effect [SECTION] button to select the effect to be edited.
11. Press the [<q ] or[ >] button to position the cursor at the parameter to be adjusted.
12. Set the parameter using the MIDI Controller.
13. Store the settings and switch to Play mode.
*The same procedures are followed to use the CONTROLLER2 and CTRL2 displays.
