[3] PCL & PCR Parameter Control
The PCL (Pitch Shift Left) and PCR (Pitch Shift Right) parameters of the Stereo Pitch 1 & 2
effects can be controlled by sending MIDI Note On messages from a MIDI keyboard or
sequencer to the FX550.

between C4 (the key parameter) and
G4 (the received Note On value).
The PCL and PCR parameters will be
set to +7.
If a subsequent Note On value of E3 is
received, the difference between C4

PCL and PCR

then be set to -8.

@ Operation Procedure

. Transmit а MIDI Note On message to the FX550.
* When a chord is received as the Note On message, the top note of the chord will set the
PCL value and the next note down in the chord will set the PCR value.
* If you don't want to control the PCL and PCR parameters using Note On messages, set the
KEY parameter value to OFF.

Press the [UTILITY] button to show the MIDI SETUP display.

V] or | А | button to select the MIDI bank (A, В, С, or D).

. Press the [EDIT] button to enter Edit mode, and set the Pitch Shifter's KEY parameter. The
difference between the Note On message and the KEY parameter will be used to calculate the
PCL and PCR parameters. The figure below shows how it EOFS:

Connect the MIDI output of the device that is sending the MIDI Note On messages to the
FX550's MIDI IN connector.
