[2] Tap Tempo, Speed Switching, & Ducking
Some of the MOD and REV section's effects can be controlled using a foot switch:
* TEMPO parameter for the TMD and TDL effects (tap tempo).
* SPD parameter for the ROT effect (rotary speed: OFF, SLOW, FAST)
* À ducking function is engaged while the foot switch is pressed.
The following table shows when these functions can be used.

@ Set Up Procedure
1. Press the [ W ] ог[ À ] button to select the effect program to be controlled.
2. Press the [UTILITY] button to show the ESW FUNCTION display.
3. Press (ће [ W ] or [ А ] button to select "EFFECT TRIGGER".
4. Press the [EDIT] button to show the TRIGGER ASSIGN display.
5. Press the [ У ] or [ А ] button to select the effect section to be controlled.
6. Use the [SECT ION] button to retrieve the TRG parameter for the effect to be controlled.

. Press the [<q ] or [ p> ] button to position the cursor, and assign "ТАР" to the TRG parameter
using the [ W ] or [ A] button.
8. Store the settings and switch to Play mode.
@ Operation Procedure
1. Connect the foot switch to the MEMORY INC/DEC TRIGGER jack on the rear panel.
2. Press the foot switch in time with the song tempo. The intervals between foot switch presses
are used to calculate the tempo, and set the TEMPO parameter. The TEMPO parameter will
be reset each time the foot switch is pressed.
п Modulation Restart Function
When tap tempo is used with the TMD effect of the MOD effect section, the modulation will
restart each time the foot switch is pressed. This maintains modulation cycle consistency dur-
ing each song measure.
This Restart function is effective even if the TRG parameter is set to OFF, TAP or MIDI.
