2.2.3 VCI Device binding
First, connect the VCI to the car's OBD port, or use the USB-TYPE C adapter cable
to energize the VCI, when the WLAN light blinks blue light on the VCI. That is, the VCI
device can work normally.
VCI binding is required for first time use. VCI binds to tablet devices via WIFI.
For the first binding, you can do as follows:
1.
Enter the setting interface and tap the VCI binding option to jump to the binding
page.
2.
In the interface after the jump, tap the Search VCI device button.
3.
Wait for the device to be searched, and tap the tablet with the same serial
number as the VCI device to bind.
4.
After the binding is successful, the page will display a successful signal and
display the serial number of the VCI device.
5.
If you need to unbind, tap the unbind button in the lower right corner, and the
device will be unbound, and you can re-bind with other VCI devices.
6.
If the binding is successful, the VCI binding option on the setting page will
display the serial number of the bound VCI device.
7.
In any other interface, if you need to communicate with the vehicle without VCI
binding, the tablet will give a message indicating that you need to bind the VCI,
and it will automatically jump to the binding interface after confirmation. Then
follow the instructions on the screen.
2.2.4 VCI Device connection
The tablet computer can communicate with VCI via Bluetooth or USB cable.
Generally, the USB cable is faster. When the VCI is successfully bound with the tablet, it
can automatically transfer vehicle data to your tablet when it enters the vehicle diagnostic
