5 Removing the BFS Assembly
The communication assembly and the BFS assembly must not be replaced in
one step.
• If both assemblies have to be replaced, recommission the inverter after replacing the first
assembly. Only then may the second assembly be replaced.

A AC switch, only included in STP50-US-40, STP-33-US-41, STP-50-US-41 and
STP-62-US-41
Procedure:
1. Disconnect the inverter from all voltage sources (see Section 4, page 12).
2. Wait 5 minutes. This will ensure that the capacitors are discharged.
3. Release (TX25) all 10 screws of the enclosure lid of
the DC-Connection Unit and remove the enclosure
lid carefully towards the front.
4. Discharge the DC Connection Unit at the contact points using a voltage detector without
intrinsic voltage source: Ensure that the residual voltage is less than 5 V.
