Making Espresso
1. After the machine is preheated, place the filter
basket (14 for single cup; 15 for double) in the
filter holder (16), and place it on the unit without
coffee grounds.
2. Place a coffee cup under the filter holder and then
press the single cup button (2) to discharge some
hot water to warm the coffee cup.
3. Using the coffee spoon/tamper (17), spoon coffee
grounds in the filter basket (single cup≦8g, double
cup≦15g) and then gently compact it with the
tamper (the opposite end of the spoon).
4. Attach the filter holder (16) to the machine by
connecting it in the INSERT position, then turning it
to the right to the LOCKED position.
5. Place 1 or 2 cups below the coffee outlet.

6. Press the button corresponding to the type of cup
you want. For example:
a. Press the single cup button (2).
b. The single cup (2) indicator light flashes
7. The machine makes the coffee. When finished, the
buzzer will beep 3 times.
NOTE:
The default time for making an espresso is 25
•
seconds for single cup, and 38 seconds for double
cup.
To stop a stream of coffee mid-process, press the
•
same button you pressed when you started making
the coffee.
If the hot water/steam knob (8) is in the ON
•
position, and you press either one of the coffee
buttons, the machine will generate an alarm and the
indicator lights will flash. Turn the hot water/steam
knob (8) to OFF to eliminate the alarm.

while the double cup (3) indicator light
stays off. (When making a double cup (3),
the single cup (2) indicator light stays off.)
