Important Safeguards
When using electrical appliances, there is always a risk of fire, electric shock or injury to
individuals. To avoid these risks, please follow these basic safety precautions:
1. Read all instructions.
2. This appliance is for household use only.
3. This appliance is to be used as an espresso coffee
machine only. Do not use it for anything other than
its intended purpose.
4. This appliance can be used by anyone 8 years old
and above, provided they are supervised, or are
instructed on how to use the appliance in a safe
way and they understand the hazards involved. The
same applies for performing cleaning and
maintenance on the appliance.
5. This appliance can be used by anyone with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities provided
they are supervised, or are instructed on how to use
the appliance in a safe way and they understand
the hazards involved. The same applies for
performing cleaning and maintenance on the
appliance.
6. Closely supervise any children using or nearby
the appliance.
7. Keep the appliance and its power cord away from
children under 8 years of age.
8. DO NOT leave the appliance unattended while in
use, or while children under the age of 8 or
individuals without the ability to care for themselves
are nearby.
9. ONLY use the original accessories or those
approved by the manufacturer. Using accessories
that have not been made for the appliance may
result in electric shock or injury.
10. ONLY use coffee pods/capsules intended for this
appliance. If a pod doesn't fit, DO NOT force it into
the appliance.
11. ONLY use grounded outlets for power.
12. ONLY use power outlets that have a voltage rating
consistent with the appliance.

13. Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces.
14. Place the appliance on a flat surface (such as a
table or counter) ensuring it is at least 2" away from
other objects, and the back panel is at least 8"
away from the wall.
15. DO NOT let the power cord hang over the edge of
the table or counter.
16. DO NOT move or unplug the appliance while in use.
17. DO NOT operate the appliance outdoors.
18. DO NOT operate the appliance without water in the
tank.
19. DO NOT operate the appliance if the power cord,
plug or appliance itself is damaged, or after the
appliance malfunctions. (Instead, reach out to the
authorized service facility for diagnosis and repair.)
20. DO NOT operate the appliance on a hot surface,
beside a fire source, or on top of another appliance
(like a refrigerator).
21. DO NOT operate the appliance in high temperature,
high magnetic field or high humidity environments.
22. DO NOT place the appliance in a cabinet while in
use.
23. Ensure the appliance is turned OFF before plugging
into or unplugging from an electrical outlet.
24. DO NOT touch the heating element or any metal
surface of the appliance with your bare hand during
or just after operation – surfaces may retain heat
after use. Instead, use the knob and handle.
25. Unplug the appliance when not in use, or when
cleaning it.
26. Clean and maintain the appliance regularly to
ensure the quality of the coffee and prolong the
service life of the machine.
27. ONLY clean the appliance after it has sufficiently
cooled.
