7. OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE
1
7.1 ORDINARY START-UP AND MAINTENANCE
2
After connecting the unit to the pipe system and after filling the coil, bleed any residual air
in the system by opening the air bleed valves located near at the top of the water piping
3
system, as specified in Par. 6.4.1.
Before starting the system please check:
4
•
the proper opening of the valves,
•
the absence of water leaks from the pipes,
•
the correct drainage of the condensate water, by spilling some water into the pan,
5
•
the correct running of the regulation and control devices.
The cleaning and maintenance to be carried out by the user cannot be done by
children without supervision.
6
The user has to be sure that the EBH air-handling unit operates by respecting the
7
use limits and that each installation and/or maintenance operation is executed
by qualified personnel only.
8
Before servicing the filter or the electrical system and, in any case, before removing
the protection structures, make sure that the unit has been disconnected from
the power mains. Protection structures have to be reassembled before giving
voltage to the unit.
9
7.1.1 REPLACING THE AIR FILTER
10
The replacement of the air filter is a very important activity of ordinary maintenance; if it is clogged,
EBH unit will have a bad filtration of the air, lower capacity and higher noise levels.
+
The cleaning of the filter must be done at regular intervals, depending on the real functioning of
the unit and on the amount of dust in the area where the unit is installed. It is advisable to do it at
least once a month, using a normal vacuum cleaner. If dust stubbornly adheres to the filter due to
humidity or to greasy deposits replace it immediately.
7.1.2 REMOVING THE FILTER
The filter can be easily reached in EBH units by removing the fixing screws from the bottom closure
panel, as shown in the picture below. By operating on the locking hooks, the filter can be taken
out for replacing it.
