8. inspection
A hazard assessment must be produced.
Recurring safety inspections must be performed by an expert,
in accordance with the hazard assessment.
The roller set, together with the respective container or other
products with ISO corners (ISO 1161) in accordance with the
Accident Prevention Regulation for forklift trucks (DGUV-V
68) must be checked at least once per year by an authorised
person per TRBS 1203 (Technical expert), (checking per
German Industrial Health and Safety Ordinance (BetrSichV),
§10, section 2, per implementation of EC directives 89/391/EEC
and 2009/104/EC).
These inspections must be documented:
– Before comissioning.
– After significant alterations before recomissioning.
– At least once per year.
– In the event of unusual occurences arising that could have
derimental effects on the safety of the winch (extraordinary
tests, e.g. after a long period of inactivity, accidents, natural
events, etc.)
– After repair works that could have an influence on the safety
of the winch.
Technical experts are persons who have sufficient knowledge,
based on their specialist training and experience, in the
field of forklift trucks, and familiarity with the relevant official
occupational health and safety rules, accident prevention
regulations, directives and generally accepted engineering
rules (e.g. DIN EN standards), and who are able to evaluate the
operational safety of forklift trucks. Technical experts are to be
nominated by the operator of the equipment.
It is recommended to carry out a complete overhaul of the roller
set with every 10th inspection and no later than after 10 years.
The roller set is disassembled during this overhaul and the state
of the individual parts checked.
Wear parts (bearings, sealings,...) and components relevant
for safety have to be exchange in every case. Operational worn
components will be substituted. We recommend having haa-
con hebetechnik gmbh carry out these safety checks on-site.
This check may only be carried out by persons who have been
commissioned by the manufacturer haacon hebetechnik and
who have been trained in handling the roller set and its parts.

9. Maintenance recoMMenDation
The operator determines the intervals of maintenance
themselves based on frequency of use and operating
conditions. A cleaning of the equipment has to be done
regularly (do not use steam jets).
attention!
Only perform inspection, maintenance and repair work
with the roller set not under load. Such work should only
be performed by qualified specialists.
Maintenance and inspection work
Visual and functional tests
Check for the intactness, completeness
and firm seating of all components of the
roller set which are accessible without
dismantling
Remove snow, ice and heavy
accumulations of dirt
Check type plate for legibility and replace

10. DisasseMBly, Disposal
While disassembling safety instructions have to be observed.
The container roller set and its components has to be done
according to environmental standards.
11. spare parts
Only use original spare parts / original wear parts. These parts
have been specially designed for the lifting device. If you use
other parts it can not be guaranteed that they are designed and
built to withstand the stresses safely.
