3. general
The container roller set may only be used for moving containers
or other products with ISO corner fittings (ISO 1161) on a firm
and level surface. It may only be used as an entire system (4
rollers and 1 container).
It is not intended for driving long distances, but is rather
designed as a manoeuvring aid for containers with ISO corner
fittings.
It is not intended for operation on the public highway.
Too high a speed or an unsuitable surface could result
in personal injury or damage to the machine and container.
The container roller set consists of 4 identical individual rollers
(2x right and 2x left versions), which are installed on the bottom
of the ISO corner fittings on a container.
They are attached to a steering rod at the fastening elements,
each with 2 bolts. The steering rod is also used to transport
the rollers to the place of use.
The individual rollers can be rotated 360° and are lockable every
90°; a locking brake on each wheel prevents the container from
accidentally rolling away.
The fastening elements are secured to the ISO corner fittings
from below with a locking screw. In terms of tools, a socket
wrench, WAF 55, is required (attached to the steering rod).
The locking screw is secured with a serrated double washer
and an automatic lock washer, to prevent it from coming loose,
which can be unlocked by applying the socket wrench.
The drawbar (which is to be dismantled into 2 parts
for installation and removal) provides the connection
to the towing vehicle. It has a height-adjustable support, which
allows it to be safely hitched to the towing vehicle.
The container roller set is in compliance with the Machinery
Directive 2006/42/EC, Annex IIB and the following.
