3 General
This device (SVZ-ECO-L) is suitable especially for lifting, transporting and moving uncoated manhole rings
according to DIN 4034 part 1 and 2 (NW-Ø 700, 800, 900, 1000, 1050 and 1200 mm), manhole cones (NW-Ø
625/1000 and NW-Ø 625/1200 mm) and manhole cones with undercut NW 625/1000 and NW 800/1200, as well as
rectangular manholes (NW 800, 1000 and 1200 mm) and manhole bases (NW-Ø 1000 mm up to max. 2,000 kg
(4,400 lbs)) and is attached to a carrier such as an excavator, superstructure crane or wheel loader.
Concrete pipes, manhole basers, rings and cones according to DIN 4034 T1 and T2 are called in the further text
shaft elements.
•
Cover plates with eccentric entry hole must not be gripped and/or laid with the device.
Otherwise the load or parts of the load could fall down!
•
The device (SVZ-ECO-L) may not be used for lifting or pulling of seized shaft elements!
•
Lifting of damaged shaft elements with the device (SVZ-ECO-L) is forbidden!
The elements (shaft elements) must correspond at the time of the delivery the special
requirements according to DIN EN 1917 (2003-04) chapter 5: „Special requirements ".
Only sufficiently hydrated and free from cracks shaft elements may be transported.
Otherwise the load or parts of the load could fall down!

The device is only designed for the use specified in this documentation.
•
Every other use is not authorized and is forbidden!
•
All relevant safety regulations, corresponding legal regulations, especially regulations of the
declaration of conformity, and additional local health and safety regulations must be observed.
Prior to every operation the user must ensure that:
•
The equipment is suited to the intended operation
•
the functioning and the working condition of the equipment is examined
•
the load is suitable to be handled.
Any doubts about instructions should be raised with the manufacturer prior to use.
ATTENTION: The use of this device is only permitted in proximity to the ground (→ chapter
"Safety at work" and "Explanation of basic concepts").
