Installing the transport set:
Lower the bed into its lowest position and then remove the power cable from the power
supply.
Insert a transport kit (1) in the mattress frame (2) (e.g. the front side). Fasten the transport kit
with the star bolts (3).
Insert the other transport kit on the opposite side of the mattress frame (e.g. back side).
Fasten the transport kit with the star bolts.
Then turn the mattress frame on the side where the transport kit is mounted thus moving the
transport set's castors downward. The bed can now be pushed easily on the rolling castors.

INSPECTION

For your safety and to ensure that your nursing bed remains functional even after prolonged use, it
should be serviced regularly by an authorized specialist dealer whose work should be documented in
the service plan. The dealer will enter maintenance work in the service plan. In general we
recommend having annual servicing and servicing before each new usage. The following
inspections need to be documented:
Visual inspection of the power connection (EPR or similar).
The status of the power cable (especially for crushing, .abrasion, cuts, visible insulation or inner wires,
visible metallic veins, kinks, bulges, color changes on the outer covering, brittle sections)
Inspection of the internal wiring status for the power cable (especially for crushing, abrasion, cuts, visible
insulation or inner wires, visible metallic veins, kinks, bulges, color changes on the outer covering, brittle
sections)
Humidity protection for the electric system, at least IP54 (see type label).
Check device for suspended power cable during transport.
Visual inspection of frame components for plastic deformation and/or wear (lying surface, undercarriage,
backrest, foot-end, boom, boom receptacle, wheels).
Check power cable and the safe placement of other electric cables so that shearing, pinching and other
mechanical damage is not possible.
Visual inspection of all housings for damage. The screws need to be tightly fastened. The seals may not
have any visual damage
All screw, bolt, and not connections need to be fastened tightly.
Measure resistance of protective earth (Ohm) according to VDE 0751-1
Measure the residual diversion current (A) according to VDE 0751-1
Measure the insulation resistance (MOhm) according to VDE 0751-1
Inspect functioning of the side railings (locking, distances according to EN 1970: 2000, also when
loaded, deformation and wear through loading)
Check the operation of the braking castors (safety, locking, free running)
Inspect operation of the drives (over the full adjustment range of the motors
running, etc., final switching (e.g. current limiting, main switch), if necessary: Measure performance, first
with no load, and then with the nominal load ("SWL") to inspect for possible wear and tear on the motors
by comparing electrical current input. Compare with the values given at the time of delivery.
Inspect the condition of the mattress (not when use of the bed is resumed)
Electrical measurements may only be carried out by personnel trained on the nursing bed and
instructed by an electrician about the instruments and procedures to be used. Only an
