3 Starting operation
3.1 Initial Operation
3.2 Set up
After unpacking the blender and before first use, wash all parts except the
blender base in hot, soapy water. Dry thoroughly. Wipe the blender base with a
damp cloth or sponge. NEVER IMMERSE THE BASE IN WATER. Care should be
taken when handling the cutting blade assembly because the 6-blade knife is
very sharp.
IMPORTANT: The blades of the cutting blade assembly or blender jar are
subject to wear during normal use. Do not use the professional blender if the
blades are dull or damaged or the blender jar has a crack or other damages.
1. Place the blender base on a dry, even surface.
2. Carefully place the gasket onto the cutting blade assembly, place the
blender jar and tighten. Ensure that the cutting blade assembly is solidly
connected to the blender jar.
3. Place the blender jar onto the unit base and lock it by aligning to the
«align» arrow marker and then turn in the clock-wise direction to the
«locked» arrow marker.
4. Ensure that the rotary dial is on Off/O. Plug in the unit.
5. Put the ingredients into the blender jar according to the recipe.
6. Place the lid with the filling cup onto the blender jar. Ensure that the lid is
securely seated on the jar.
7. The unit is now ready for operation. You can select the desired speed
using the rotary. You can find instructions on the speeds and handling of
the professional blender in section 3.4 Blending Techniques to process
foods and beverages.
8. End the blending process by turning the rotary dial to Off/O and
only remove the blender jar when the cutting blade assembly is no
longer turning.
9. In order to remove the blender jar, turn it in the counter-clockwise directi-
on and lift the jar straight up.
