3) After Each Inflation:
Re-arm the life jacket. See "Re-arming Your Life Jacket,"
page 9.
4) Annually:
Perform the following at the beginning of each boating season, after
inflation, or whenever the integrity of the life jacket is in doubt.
Check all components for dirt or corrosion. Clean or replace as
necessary. See "Readiness Checklist," page 5).
Visually examine your inflatable life jacket for damage, such
as excessive abrasion, wear, tear, or contamination. Particular
attention must be paid to the stitching, straps, and hardware. If
in doubt, send it to your Mustang dealer for evaluation and/or
servicing.
Perform the Leak Test in the "Every Two Months" section.
Ensure the current date is not past the date on the inflator.
If it is, replace the inflator (see "Re-arming Your Life Jacket,"
page 9).
Ensure the single point status indicator is green (Fig. 1).
Record as an "Annual" inspection in permanent ink on the Care
and Storage Label, in the Date Maintained column.
Repack the life jacket as outlined in the repacking section,
page 12.
