6.3.3 Bearings

The bearings are either rolling, ball or roller, depending on the size of the electro-mechanical unit, and are all sized to last for 50,000 hours of
operation under normal conditions.

6.3.4 Mechanical seals

The estimated duration of safe operation for the mechanical seals is 20,000 hours under normal conditions and 7,000 hours in faulty operating
conditions (dry operation or with fluids containing debris), at which point they need to be changed.

SOLUTION
check power supply line
set voltage at level stated on nameplate
check starting type
check calibration of circuit breaker and/or that the
correct type of fuses are fitted
identify the cause of the jam and remove it
wait for motor to cool
clean valve and check its operation
find and remove the obstruction
find and remove the obstruction
stop the pump at once and install a level control
system
swap phases
identify the cause of the jam and remove it
