Finger guard

The finger guard is a safety device that must be checked for proper function daily before
startup.
Every time the rotary iron is switched on, check the function of the finger guard.
Activate the finger guard once while the  symbol is flashing.
If fingertips become trapped between the roller and the finger guard, the iron will be
stopped immediately and the heater plate is withdrawn. When this happens, the  symbol
will light up continuously. Press the  button to turn the iron back on.
The finger guard remains non-operational while the roller is running backwards.
Do not use the finger guard intentionally to turn off the iron while it is operating.
Always turn off the iron by pressing the  button.
