Upon completion, the scrutiny or repair must be con-
firmed by the skilled person in writing.
Inspection
The product must be inspected and serviced as needed,
but at least once per year by the manufacturer, a compe-
tent person, or an authorised inspections agency (PPE-
Inspection).
Among other inspections, the readability of the product
labelling should be checked. Also check the roller for ex-
ternal signs of damage (e.g. fissures, material broken off,
strong, partial grooving of the roller, impaired movement).
Additionally, check textile components and especially the
cross seams for excessive wear, abrasion, cuts, and dam-
age caused by chemicals or heat. Check metal compo-
nents for deformation, fissures, wear and mechanical
damage.
Repairs may only be carried out by the manufacturer or a
person authorised by the manufacturer.
Intensive use may shorten the useful life of the product to
2 years. When the service life mentioned above is exceed-
ed, the PPE product must be removed from further use.
