7.3 First Use - Use after a Long
Period of Inactivity
• Refill the machine (follow the instructions above).
• Connect the plug of the appliance to the mains (see
section "Connection to the Electric Network").
• Rinse the circuits as shown below.
These simple operations will allow you to always brew
excellent coffee.
To start the machine press the button indicated in chapter
"Turning on/off the Machine".
Circuits rinse phase
The machine is supplied with tiltable small cup holder
grills, to be used with mugs or cups or glasses for latte
macchiato as well.
For each side of the machine:
• If fitted, tilt the grill upwards.
• Place a large container under the coffee dispensing spout.
• Wait for the pre-heating phase to be completed.
1 The machine is warming up
When the messages disappear from the screen and the
keys become clearer, the machine is ready for brewing.
In line with the coffee dispensing spout where the
container is placed:
• Open and close the capsule loading tray and press the
"FREE" button - with no capsule inserted - to start
brewing.
• When the water starts flowing from the spout, press the
"FREE" button again to stop dispensing.
