4.4 General information before programming

The SFE-EV PRO controller allows to manage your installation by a time clock control or by a volumetric
control. The controller will automatically initiate regenerations cycles based upon the programmed
regeneration mode and the programmed parameters.
The SFE-EV PRO controller offers the possibility to manually start regeneration simply by pressing the
regeneration button, as well as initiate a regeneration from an external signal.
The controller is able to receive an external signal for regeneration inhibition, that will block any regeneration
start as long as the inhibit signal is received by the controller. See section 4.4.9 for more information.
Whenever a regeneration has started, the regeneration can be cancelled by pressing the button
seconds. The controller will then place the valve back to service position.

4.4.1 Manual Regeneration

To initiate a manual regeneration, press and hold the button
allows choosing whether to start the regeneration immediately or delayed at the programmed time. Here
under are showed the two displayed options, use the

the regeneration time.

4.4.2 Setting of treatable water volume

In the SFE-EV PRO controller volume setting is determined by the value of the St parameter (see in 5.3
section). If St = 0 controller automatically calculates the treatable volume of water based upon the
programmed inlet hardness, outlet hardness and resin exchange capacity. When using a mixing device, make
sure that the outlet hardness matches with the programmed outlet hardness.
If St = 1 volume can be set manually from user.

4.4.3 Battery operation

When the module is operating on battery, the following information is shown on the display:
Time: xx:xx with the central ":" flashing.
Day of the week, if a day of the week is flashing this means that regeneration is enabled for that day.
If the programmed regeneration mode is volumetric (delayed or immediate), the time of day and
remaining available volume are displayed alternatively.
