Connect the multilink breakout to the HCU at the helm
station located closest to the Corrosion Protection Mod-
ule (CPM), between the multilink outlet and the existing
cable, as shown in Figure III:3.
Next, connect the multilink cable from the multilink break-
out (yellow cable) to the Corrosion Protection Module
(CPM) outlet marked "X5:MULTILINK" (yellow).

For boats with no diagnostic connector in the transmis-
sion cable harness, follow steps VI:1-4.
Connect the standard cable from the diagnostic connec-
tor of the transmission cable harness to the Corrosion
Protection Module (CPM) outlet marked " PORT ENGINE
Z1:DATALINK" (orange). Refer to Figure III:4.
Important! The DATALINK outlet of the CPM must
be connected to the diagnostic connector of engine
#1 (PORT side) for the system to work properly.
Remove the yellow and the green marking tape from the
standard cable, leaving the red.
6.
Extend or shorten the power supply wire according to
need; it is to be connected to the auxiliary battery.
note! The Corrosion Protection Module (CPM) must not
be connected to any of the starter battery groups.
7.
Apply the 5A fuse supplied in this kit on the red wire, as
close to the positive terminal of the battery as possible.
Refer to Figure III:5.
note! The fuse must be applied on the battery side of the
main switch. Refer to the wiring diagram in Figure III:6.
8.
Connect the black wire to the negative terminal of the bat-
tery. Refer to fig. III:5.
9.
Connect the red wire, with fuse connected, to the positive
terminal of the battery. Refer to Figure III:5.
10.
Perform an auto-configuration to the system and clear all
fault codes. For detailed instructions, follow the installa-
tion manual.
IV: VoDIa procEDUrE
1.
To complete the installation, connect the VODIA tool to
the diagnostic connector on the outer port engine (#1).
2.
Perform the "ACP Chassis ID Check" operation, found un-
der section "Electric Systems & Instruments".
3.
Verify that the PCU Chassis ID displayed is equal to the
New CPM Chassis ID, then confirm by pressing OK.
If the PCU Chassis ID and the New CPM Chassis ID dis-
played are not equal, change the New CPM Chassis ID to
concur with the PCU Chassis ID before confirming.

Replacing the anode
When hauled, check the anode; if there is 25% or less left
of it, order an anode replacing kit.
To replace, remove the old anode and replace it with a
new one. Refer to Figure V:1 for torques.
Painting the ACP transom unit
Remove the anode. Then, remove the plastic lid before
painting it, as shown in Figure V:2.
Important! When painting the back plate of the tran-
som unit, be careful NOT to paint any metal parts.
Painting the areas marked out in Figure V:3 will de-
stroy the ACP function.
VI: SInglE DIagnoStIc connEctor (figure III:4a)
1.
Remove the sealing plug from the diagnostic connector of
engine #1.
Important! The diagnostic connector of engine #1
must be used when connecting the control unit.
2.
Connect the Y-connector to the diagnostic connector.
3.
Seal the shorter end with the sealing plug. That is to now
be used as a diagnostic connector. Refer to Figure III:4a.
4.
Connect the extension cable between the Y-split cable
and the Corrosion Protection Module (CPM) outlet
marked "PORT ENGINE Z1:DATALINK" (orange).
Remove the yellow and the green marking tape from the
extension cable, leaving the red.
Return to section III, step 6.
