Drain valve
—
Size blow-off line for fully open safety
valve. The safety valve's blow-off
opening must remain open to the
atmosphere.
—
The safety valve's blow-off line should
be installed with a constant slope.
—
Observe the information in the
"Safety valve" installation instructions
should be followed.
z
Fill the
freestanding cylinder with water
by opening the DHW valve and rinse
thoroughly.
Check the tightness.

Information regarding the DHW circulation
line:
If a DHW circulation line is installed it is
fitted to connection 6
A
B
2.10 Installing the DHW sensor
Insert DHW sensor TF 6 (included in the pack)
as far as possible into either sensor
well 7 (recommended energy saving position)
or 8 (high DHW convenience) and then secured
using a locking strip.
2.11 Thermometer installation
Insert thermometer 11 (in its delivered
condition located in the DHW outlet
connections) as far as possible and align it.
2.12 Commissioning
(Only to be carried out by a qualified
contractor.)
1.
Fill the freestanding DHW cylinder,
ventilate and flush it thoroughly.
2.
Ventilate the bare-tube heat exchanger
after filling the heat pump system.
3.
Operate the accessories (BGC) in
accordance with the installation and
operating instructions and check the
function.
4.
Check the safety valve function.
5.
Check that the DHW temperature on
the heat pump control unit is displayed
correctly.
2.13 Handing over the freestanding
DHW cylinder
Explain the function of the freestanding DHW
cylinder to the user.
2.14 Important instructions:
z
Inform the user of potential risks
(scalding).
z
Pass on these installation and operating
instructions for safekeeping. All the
information in these instructions must be
followed as carefully as possible. They
provide information on safety, operation,
installation and maintenance of the
device.
2.15 Maintenance
z
All poles of any built-in electrical
components should be isolated from the
mains when undertaking maintenance
work.
z
Regularly vent the safety valve until a full
water jet is discharged. Close the safety
valve after the check.
z
Draining the cylinder:
—
Close the shut-off valve in the cold
water inlet pipe.
—
Fully open the DHW valves on all the
.
draw-off points.
C
—
The cylinder is drained via the drain
valve. Some residual water will remain
in the bottom of the cylinder.
Note: Hot water may escape during
i
the draining process.
z
Cleaning and descaling
Once the flange plate has been removed,
the cylinder can be cleaned through the
inspection port.
To make dismantling easier, two flange
screws are to be screwed into the push-off
thread (a. M 12).
Do not use a descaling pump. Do not treat
the enamel and protective anode with
descalers.
Changing the anode
If the anode is consumed, replace it with a
new one.
Signal rod anode, part no. 14 09 21.
If it's impossible to install a signal rod anode
from above, install a
Signal element anode, part no. 14 34 99.
When you change an anode, ensure there is a
good connection between the anode and the
cylinder. Transition resistance max. 0.3 Ω.
