cleaning and storage
AttEntIon!
❐ Prior to each cleaning, pull the plug out of the socket.
❐ The device may still be very hot shortly after use. For this reason, wait a few minutes until
it has cooled off completely before you remove the used adapter, empty the water tank
and/or stow the device.
❐ Never submerge the device in water or other liquids!
❐ Never touch the device, the cord or the plug with wet hands.
❐ Do not use any scouring or abrasive cleaners or cleaning pads to clean the device. They
could damage the surface.
❐ Decalcify the device regularly (once a month) if you do not use any distilled water to fill the
device.
•
Open the water tank by pulling the water tank cap out of the device and turning the device
upside down. Please note that the cap cannot be completely removed from the device.
•
When needed, wipe off the device housing with a soft, damp cloth and dry it with a soft
cloth.
•
If necessary, clean the adapters with clean, warm water. Only use the enclosed cleaning
brush to clean the adapters.
•
To decalcify the device, mix vinegar and water, 1 part to 1. Add approximately 60 ml of the
vinegar-water mixture to the water tank and run the device for approximately 40 minutes.
Depress the steam trigger from time to time. If the water tank is empty before the 40 min-
utes are over, add more of the vinegar-water mixture. After the 40 minutes have passed,
pour the content of the water tank down the drain and rinse the tank out with clean water
until the scent of vinegar has disappeared.
•
Let all parts of the device and accessories dry completely before you stow the device in a
clean, dry area that is not accessible to children.
