❐ Disconnect the mains plug after every use, before you remove/change an adapter, add
more water/empty the water tank, clean the device or if you don't use the device for a
prolonged period of time. In the process, never pull on the cord, but always on the plug.
❐ Only use the device in enclosed areas.
❐ Do not use the device in rooms containing easily flammable dust or toxic and explosive
vapours.
❐ For your own safety, always check the device for damages prior to using it. Only use the
device if it has been properly assembled and is fully functional!
❐ In the event of damages/malfunctions, immediately deactivate the device.
❐ Never attempt to repair an electrical device or replace parts yourself. In the event of
defects, the device may no longer be used. Contact the nearest customer service centre/
qualified professional or, in the event of damage, contact the customer service (see section
"Customer service").

Avoiding damage to materials, property and the device

❐ Ensure that the connected mains cord does not pose a tripping hazard. Do not allow the
cord to hang over the edge of a table or kitchen worktop. Someone could catch him/her-
self and pull down the device.
❐ Lay the cable such that it is not crushed or creased and such that it does not come into
contact with hot surfaces.
❐ Always work with sufficient lighting.
❐ Never use the device without water.
❐ Do not use any additional accessories. Only use the enclosed accessories from the manu-
facturer.
❐ Never fill more than the maximum level shown on the measuring cup (max. 100 ml). Use
distilled water to fill the device.
❐ Never fill the device with cleaners or other chemical additives. They may irreparably dam-
age the unit and as such, safe operation of the unit can no longer be assured.
❐ Never cover the steam vents and do not insert any objects in them.
❐ Maintain adequate distance to heat sources such as stovetops or ovens in order to prevent
damage to the device.
❐ Do not allow the device to fall and do not subject it to strong percussions.
❐ Do not subject the device to extreme temperatures, severe temperature fluctuations or
direct sunlight.
❐ Always attempt to iron a small, unnoticeable area first.
❐ Never apply the vapour stream to one area for an excessive amount of time.
❐ Never attempt to remove the water tank cap during use.
❐ To clean the device do not use corrosive or abrasive cleaning products (e.g. vinegar) or
cleaning pads.
❐ When cleaning, no liquid may penetrate the device. They could damage the device.
❐ Only return the device to its storage place once it has completely cooled off and the water
tank is completely empty.
❐ Store the device in a clean, dry area that is not accessible to children.
