❐ Only use the device once the power light is off. In this way, the recommended temperature
is attained. If you use the device before the power light is off, hot steam or hot water can
emit – scalding hazard!
❐ Do not depress the steam trigger continually during use. This reduces the steam pressure.
❐ If you use the device vertically, e.g. when steaming hanging clothes, always incline the
device gently forward so that no hot steam or hot water can reach your fingers.
❐ Always attempt to iron a small, unnoticeable area first.
❐ Never apply the vapour stream to one area for an excessive amount of time.
•
Sensitive articles of clothing should be ironed inside out.
•
Ironing trousers is easier if they are hung up by the legs.
•
For best results when ironing, the textile brush adapter should be gently applied
to the fabric to be ironed.
•
Although the device can even be used for sensitive fabrics such as silk or wool,
you should read the care instructions of any textile before ironing it with the
device. Some fabrics such as leather, suede and velvet may not be ironed!
1. If you haven't already done so, mount the adapter of your choice (see chapter "Start-up",
section "Mounting/removing the adapters") and add water to the water tank (see chapter
"Start-up", section "Adding/removing water").
2. Connect the mains plug to a properly installed socket. The red power light illuminates and
the device begins to heat up.
3. After approximately 1 minute, the power light goes off. The device is now ready for use.
– With the textile brush adapter: Move the device over the fabric in a horizontal or verti-
cal direction and depress the steam trigger at regular intervals in order to evenly steam
the textile.
– With the crease adapter: Fold open the crease adapter by pulling the hook on the
adapter up (towards the handle).Place the textile between the heating plate and adapter
and release the hook. Depress the steam trigger. Depending on the desired fold thick-
ness, you can apply steam to one area of the fabric several times.
Repeat the process until the entire textile has a crease.
4. If the device is used for a prolonged period of time, it will have to reheat from time to time
in order to maintain a constant temperature. When this happens, the red power light will
turn back on. This is a normal electrical process and not an error. Make sure that you do
not depress the steam trigger during the heating process to avoid unnecessarily prolonging
it and to avoid scalding hazard, caused by emitting hot steam or hot water.
5. If you want to add water during use, pull the mains plug and let the device cool off com-
pletely (see chapter "Start-up", section "Adding/removing water").
6. After use, pull the plug out of the socket, let the device cool off completely and drain any
leftover water from the water tank (see chapter "Start-up", section "Adding/removing
water").
7. When needed, clean the device and store it in a dry, clean place that is not accessible to
children (see section "Cleaning and storage").
