Car seat airbags trigerring factors
• There are so many configurations of car
accident that it is difficult to determine exactly
the impact speed at which the airbag system will
be triggered. Parameters such as the type of
object hitting the vehicle (hard, soft), the
collision angle or the vehicle speed are crucial.
• The airbag system of the car seat might not be
triggered in low-impact and minor collisions
including frontal, rear, lateral and rollover
situations. In any case, the child remains safely
restrained by the harness of the car seat.
• The release of the airbag of the car seat is
managed by sensors located in the car seat
itself. The deceleration registered by the
electronics of the car seat during a car accident
is a determinant factor of release of the car seat
airbag system. The airbag system will not be
triggered when the deceleration that occurs
during the car accident remains below the
reference values set in the electronics of the car
seat, even if the car is damaged after the
accident.
Care
Fabric:
• The shoulder pads are not removable but can be
washed with a damp cloth. If the cover needs to
be replaced at any time, only use official
Maxi-cosi cover because it constitutes an integral
part of the restraint performance.
• Before cleaning check the label sewn into the
various parts of the fabric, you will find the
washing symbols indicating the method of
washing each item.
• Keep the car seat clean. Do not use lubricants or
aggressive cleaning agents.
Shell:
• Clean the shell using a damp cloth.
