4.1
General instructions
This chapter describes the control and ordinary maintenance operations required to ensu-
re proper operation of the pre-separator.
Attention.
All the described operations must be carried out in an unclassifi ed zone, without potentially
explosive atmosphere.
Any other intervention that may become necessary to remedy operating faults must be
expressly authorized by the manufacturer.
In such cases, always specify the identifi cation data of the pre-separator. For important
repairs, you should contact your authorized dealer, who has the specialized personnel with
the necessary technical knowledge of the original factory production, is always available
and can intervene quickly.
4.2
General safety standards
The maintenance operations must be carried out by qualifi ed personnel with specifi c trai-
ning in the various fi elds that are with this pre-separator:
mechanical maintenance
The safety offi cer must ensure professionalism and competence of the above mentioned
maintenance technicians.
Before starting the maintenance interventions, the safety offi cer must:
Have unauthorized persons removed from the work area.
Ensure that the necessary instruments for the maintenance technician grip are
ready and in good condition.
Ensure that lighting is adequate and, if necessary, provide portable lamps with a
24V connection.
Ensure that the maintenance technician is equipped with the required and approved
personal protective equipment for the specifi c operations (gloves, safety glasses,
safety shoes, etc.);
Make sure that the maintenance technician has read the instructions contained in
this manual and is fully aware of the operation of the pre-separator.
Before starting the maintenance intervention, the maintenance technician must:
