To lift vehicle, proceed as follows:
Check that the arms are turned in a way that will not hamper the vehicle access between
the lift columns.
Turn the arms and pull out the extensions bringing the pads to the points designed for
lifting the vehicle as indicated by the vehicle manufac-turer.
WARNING : Before lifting a vehicle, always check the load distribution with respect to the
vehicle mass, strictly complying with the LOAD DISTRIBUTION table (Fig. 3). Do not lift
the vehicle in case the values found are not within the limits given in the LOAD DISTRI-
BUTION table.
Turn Emergency Switch/Disconnector (18, Fig. 1) to 1 (ON).
Lift the vehicle of about 10 centimetres.
Check the correct insertion of the rubber pads.
Check vehicle stability.
Press the «UP» push-button (19, Fig. 1).
Turn the Emergency Switch/Disconnector (18, Fig. 1) to 0 (OFF) before accessing the work
area.
5.3 LOWERING PROCEDURE
To lower vehicle, proceed as follows:
Press the «DOWN» push-button (20, Fig. 3) until both carriages are at the minimum height.
Turn Emergency Switch/Disconnector to 0 (OFF) (18, Fig. 1).
Turn the arms in a way that will not hinder the vehicle exit and close the extensions.
Move the vehicle out of the lifting area.
5.4 SAFETY DEVICES
WARNING: The following safety devices shall by no means be tampered with or disabled;
they shall also be always kept in top working conditions:
The foot guards applied to the arms (9, Fig. 11) prevent the crushing of operator's feet during
the arm lowering final stage.
Arm anti-rotation mechanical safety locks with automatic engagement (11, Fig. 1): prevent the
rotation of the lifting arms when the carriage is lifted.
Carriage fall-preventing safety mechanical devices (1, Fig. 12 B): they prevent the carriages
from lowering in the event of hydraulic circuit blow-by or failure of mechanical lifting parts.
