4. Description
4.1 Description of the unit
Electric cattle brush model: HAPPYCOW MiniSwing
The machines are designed to hygienically clean the hide of calves and goats and at the same time reduce costs compared to traditional cleaning
by hand.
• Units with type "18840" and "18840-EN" comply with the applicable safety regulations for persons and property according to the EU Machine-
ry Directive, see EU Declaration of Conformity.
• Units with type "18840-EN" comply with the applicable safety regulations for persons and property according to the Supply of Machinery (Safe-
ty) Regulations 2008, see UK - Declaration of Conformity.
Use of these units can cause danger to the life and limb of the user or third parties, or damage to the unit or other material assets.
Caution!
The unit must be used exclusively in accordance with intended use and in a technically safe condition! The operational safety of the unit is only
guaranteed if it is used for its intended purpose. Failure to comply with the individually listed points in the operating instructions can result in

4.5 Conversions or modifications
In the event of unauthorised conversions and modifications to the unit, any liability and warranty on the part of the manufacturer will be rendered
void. Conversions and modifications may only be carried out with the written consent of the manufacturer.
5. Assembly and commissioning
Danger!
• Only open the control unit and carry out maintenance work on the entire machine when the mains plug is disconnected!
• Work on the control unit, sensor board, motor and electrical cables may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
• The unit must be operated from a 230 V socket outlet with a protective earth contact. This must be fused with a B16 A circuit breaker (LS). In
addition, a separate 30 mA residual current circuit breaker (FI) must be provided. A combined FI/LS switch with corresponding tripping charac-
teristics is possible.
• The residual current circuit breaker should only supply the circuits intended for this unit.

4.3 Correct use
This machine may only be used for the dry cleaning of calves aged from 2 to 12 months and for
goats.The animals' collars must fit tightly and the tail hair must be kept short (< 3 cm). The ani-
mals' hide hair must also not be longer than 3 cm. The unit can be operated with a maximum of

60 animals.
The regulations set out in these operating instructions must be complied with. Any other use of
the unit, e.g. in any other area than those described, shall be deemed incorrect use. The manufac-
turer accepts no liability for any resulting physical and/or material damage.
