4.5.1 Connecting the telemetry line
Do not connect the serial communication
line in the IP versions of the product.
The cables provide access to 1 x RS-485 serial
communication line.
Telemetry lines connect the device to control and
programming units (keyboard or PC).
The product is able to automatically
recognise the type of protocol used
(PANASONIC, PELCO D, VIDEOTEC MACRO).
4.5.2 Alarm and relay connections
The external relay and alarm cable shield
must be earthed.

The dry contact alarm can be NO (normally open) or
NC (normally closed).
For further information refer to the relative chapter (
6.1.7.1 Alarms Menu, page 20).
4.5.2.2 Relay connection
The relays are usable with the specifications
described below. Working tension: up
to 30Vac or 60Vdc. Current: 1A max. Use
suitable cable sections with the following
characteristics: from 0.25mm² (24AWG) up
to 1.5mm² (16AWG).
Relays do not have polarity and therefore both
terminals of the same relay can be swapped for
indifferently or continuous current voltages.
For further information refer to the relative chapter (
6.1.7.1 Alarms Menu, page 20).
