Préparation de sol
Afin de tirer pleinement partie de l'investissement dans votre
semoir, nous vous conseillons de porter une grande atten-
tion à toutes les façons culturales qui précédent le semis
Pour travailler vite tout en garantissant des levées homo-
gènes il est important de faire travailler le semoir sur des sols
préalablement nivelés et réappuyés
- Pour les semis d'automne , il faudra tout d'abord veiller
à la bonne répartition des débris végétaux de la récolte
précédente et si possible avec les passages de récoltes
faits dans un sens différent des passages du semis pour
combattre les problèmes «d'andainage» des débris
végétaux.
- Ensuite travailler le champ avec 2 ou 3 passages croisés
de déchaumeurs à dents ou à disques.
- Veiller à limiter la profondeur de travail pour ne pas créer
un sol trop creux.

Preparing the ground
In order to gain maximum return from your investment in
the seed drill, we advise you to pay careful attention to all of
the cultivation methods used prior to drilling.
To work quickly whilst guaranteeing uniformity of emer-
gence, it is important to work the drill on ground that has
been levelled and rolled.
- For autumn drilling, it is important first of all to ensure
that the plant debris from the preceding harvest is well
distributed in the field and if possible with harvesting
runs carried out in a different direction to the drilling runs
to combat possible problems of "windrowing" of plant
debris.
- Then work the field with 2 or 3 cross-runs with a tine or
disc cultivator.
- Ensure that the working depth is limited so that the
ground does not become too loose.
Passing over it with a heavy Crosskill type roller, for example,

des adventices) et facilite fortement le travail du semoir.
En cas de semis en terre souple, il est fortement conseillé de
faire un passage de rouleau juste avant le semis pour garan-

du sol ainsi qu'un coût minimal.
Dans le cas d'un semis sur labour, il faut niveler et rappuyer
celui-ci avant le semis. Il est fortement conseillé d'équiper le
tracteur avec des roues larges ou des roues jumelées.
Pour ce type de préparation, le rouleau tasse central est
impératif.

If you are drilling in soft ground, you are strongly advised to
roll just before drilling to permit elevated seed drill speed,
guaranteeing good cultivation as well as minimal costs.
In the case of drilling in a ploughed field, this should be
levelled and consolidated before drilling. You are strongly
advised to fit the tractor with wide or dual wheels.
For this type of cultivation, the central packer roller is essen-
tial.
