Commissioning and operation
6.3

Regular technical inspections

Regular inspections must be conducted, as follows,
in order to ensure correct long term operation.

6.3.1 Regular examinations

At regular intervals, the operators must check the
non-contact safety switch T4000 for
correct function
and
visible signs of tampering.
At appropriate intervals, it is also necessary to
check
the secure mounting of actuators and read heads,
(with the safety screws provided),
the sealing at the cable entries on the read heads,
the seating of the cable connections on the safety
evaluation device
and
the switch-off distances.
The battery-free actuator requires no servicing and
ensures maintenance-free operation for the user.
6.3.2 Inspections by qualified safety
personnel
The inspection by qualified safety personnel must
be performed regularly as per the applicable natio-
nal and international regulations within the intervals
defined. This procedure ensures that any changes
on the machine or manipulations of the protective
device after commissioning are detected.
